About - 2023 EEMDL Event

EEMDL Background

  • EEMDL will address the growing need for accurate, timely and clear accounting of greenhouse gas emissions across global oil and natural gas supply chains. Data and analysis from this new endeavor will help both public and private institutions develop climate strategies and actions informed by accurate, verified data, identifying opportunities for emissions reductions.

The lab was founded by Co-Directors Dr. Arvind Ravikumar and Dr. Dave Allen, energy emissions modeling and analysis experts and Professors at UT Austin.

In partnership with Dr. Dan Zimmerle, Colorado State University Energy Institute, and Dr. Dorit Hammerling, Colorado School of Mines Applied Mathematics and Statistics Professor, the lab has been at the forefront of developing new modeling tools and methodologies to support energy and emissions analysis.

EEMDL’s Foundational Members consist of Cheniere Energy, EQT, and Williams Corporation.

Graduate Student &
Researcher Poster Session

  • EEMDL Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) and Research Staff will have an opportunity to present their research in a Poster Session during the Reception (Oct. 11, 2023, 4:30pm).

GRAs and Researchers interested in participating should contact EEMDL Program Manager, RoseAnna Goewey.

  • The research poster session is an event where EEMDL graduate students and research staff present their research projects in the form of visual posters, showcasing their findings, methodologies, and conclusions. It provides an opportunity for students and researchers to communicate their research to EEMDL sponsors, PIs, and affiliates in order to receive feedback and engage in discussions with peers and experts in their field.
